Hi Lovelies! Let’s get into a new Skincare Review!
I was shopping at Sephora one day and the prettiest pink bottle caught my eye! It was the Glow Recipe Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum. Honestly it’s like it was meant to be because I had just run out my current Vitamin C Serum. I usually use the Glow Recipe Pineapple C Serum which I absolutely love, so I was intrigued and super excited to give another product by Glow Recipe a try!
Since incorporating a Vitamin C serum into my daily skincare routine, my skin has never felt better! Vitamin C is a key ingredient to help brighten and even out skin tone so that your complexion appears glowy and youthful!
I have been using the Glow Recipe Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum in my daily skincare routine for a few months now and here are my thoughts on the product!
A little bit about Glow Recipe Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum
Glow Recipe is a Korean Skincare brand created by Sarah Lee and Christine Chang. All of the eye catching products are natural, fruity and perfectly packaged. The pretty colourful bottles caught my eye attracting me to this brand at first. I then learned that all of the products are clean, sustainable and cruelty free, which is so important to me when choosing skincare products.
So far, I have loved everything that I have tried by Glow Recipe so I couldn’t wait to start using the Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum! It retails for $59.00 for 1 oz (30 ml) of product.
This serum is of coarse clean stamped and does not contain certain ingredients that can be harmful to the health of the skin as well as the environment. Although what it does contain is pretty amazing! The first highlighted ingredient is of coarse Vitamin C… five forms of Vitamin C to be exact. It perfectly brightens and evens out dull skin!
This serum also contains Guava Extract which helps to protect the skin from harsh climates and free radical damage. Another highlighted ingredient is Tranexamic Acid, which I have learned is great for the skin because it reduces the appearance of redness and dark spots.
The Guava Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum claims to help visibly brighten and even out skin tone to help reduce the appearance of dark spots. It also claims to aid with any loss of firmness and elasticity within the skin.
The Pros:
- First off, the packaging is totally adorable and completely sustainable.
- This serum is super lightweight and effortlessly blends into my skin.
- The scent isn’t too strong and is really nice and fruity… it reminds me of jolly rancher candies, which totally brings me back to my childhood!
- My skin feels hydrated and soft after using this product and it never irritates my skin which I love!
- I have truly noticed that my skin now appears bright and healthy.
- This product definitely has helped to even out my skin tone so I never feel the need to always wear makeup which is such a great feeling!
- I love that this product has a pump to help with clean application of the serum.
The Cons:
- I can’t say I am crazy about the cost of this product, although so far it seems to be lasting which is nice!
My Overall Thoughts
I have truly grown to love this Vitamin C Serum! Not only does it brighten and smooth out my skin, but it significantly reduced any unevenness I had so my complexion appears even, glowy and healthy!
I really don’t have anything bad to say about this product and I am totally happy with this new addition to my daily skincare routine. It is nice and light and smells divine! At first I was a bit worried that it may irritate my skin because of the fragrance, but it doesn’t which I love! This serum is lightweight, gentle and works well with all of the other products that I use daily within my current skincare routine.
I definitely recommend giving it a try if you are searching for a Vitamin C serum to help brighten and balance out your complexion 🙂
