The Espresso Martini is having a major moment right now!
There is a reason why this silky smooth ‘tini found its way onto the menu of almost every restaurant… perfectly bold and delicious.
This flirty cocktail combines strong espresso with vodka and coffee liqueur. Personally, I prefer my espresso martini to have a little hint of chocolate because… YUM. Nothing quite goes together more perfectly than coffee and chocolate!
So trust me, if you like coffee than you are going to want to try this dangerously addicting Chocolate Espresso Martini!
Can I substitute the Espresso?
The truth is, if you want to enjoy the best Espresso Martini… which you obviously do 😉 I don’t recommend substituting the espresso for another form of coffee. The espresso is what brings the rich, decadent flavours of this signature martini that we all know and love! It is also the reason why this martini has the most perfect frothy crema (foam) on top!
If you don’t have an espresso machine, alternatively you can use cold brew coffee. Your Espresso Martini won’t be as rich and bold… but it will still be darn delicious!!
What is the significance of garnishing with 3 coffee beans?
You have probably noticed that Espresso Martini’s are always garnished with 3 coffee beans.
These 3 coffee beans actually serve a purpose and represent health, wealth and happiness!
