Plants Improve Air Quality
Surrounding your space with fresh house plants is a great way to help purify the air!
Oxygen is a key element to help promote clean, healthy air that we need to breathe. As humans, we breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide… plants on the other hand do the opposite. They absorb carbon dioxide through a process called photosynthesis and then release oxygen out into the air. Plants can also improve humidity levels within the air and absorb some pollutants which can all be super beneficial to our health!
Consider incorporating plants like the Peace Lilly or the Snake Plant into your home! They are both known for being some of the best house plants to promote clean, purified air!
Plants have a calming effect to help reduce stress & anxiety
Nature is known to have a calming effect to help you feel at ease and comfortable. I know for me, having fresh blooms and greenery in my home always leaves me feeling perfectly soothed and happy.
Taking care of plants within your home can be therapeutic and improve your wellbeing both mentally and physically.
Consider creating a tranquil environment in your home with the addition of lush greenery. Peppermint, chamomile and chrysanthemums are all known for their calming effects to help reduce stress and anxiety.
Plants can Promote Better Sleep
Prioritizing my sleep schedule is one of the best things that I have ever done! Maintaining a proper sleep schedule helps to improve your mood, energy levels as well as reducing stress and improving the immune system.
Whether you choose to wind down with a cup of tea and a book or turning your phone to silent, you should think about adding a few plants into your bedroom to help improve your sleep!
Certain plants like lavender and aloe vera are great bedroom plants! They are known to create a peaceful and relaxing environment which is ideal for bedtime. Aloe vera is fabulous at purifying the air because it is known to produce oxygen at night. Lavender is also great because it releases a soft scent that helps to put the mind at ease.
Plants make a Space more Inviting
Naturally, plants are visually appealing to look at. Fresh greenery comes in many forms such as leafy vines, large trees, small succulents and even colourful flowers! They are an excellent choice to help boost the aesthetic of any space by adding colour, texture and personality to your home decor!
Consider incorporating greenery or pretty florals into your home to create an inviting space. The entry way is a great place to start! This is the area that creates a welcoming first impression of your home. Placing fresh leafy green trees or a vase filled with colourful seasonal blooms will positively set the tone for the rest of your home!
Plants can be useful in the kitchen
Plants can serve multiple purposes. Not only are they beautiful to look at, smell fresh and inviting, but they can also also double as food.
Many of the fresh ingredients that we use in the kitchen come in the form of plants. Such as aromatic herbs like basil, cilantro, oregano, mint, chives, parsley and thyme… just to name a few! Juicy fruits like strawberries and lemons and fresh vegetables like tomatoes and spinach also grow in the form of plants!
Why not put these everyday items that we use in the kitchen out on display! Not only will this add a pop of colour and texture to your home decor, but it is also very functional!
