Let’s fall for autumn with my Crisp Apple Cranberry Pimm’s Cup
Traditionally, the Pimm’s Cup is a refreshing summertime cocktail that is enjoyed with fresh cucumber, strawberries and mint. In this English-style cocktail, you will most often find flavours and lemon and ginger.
My Crisp Apple Cranberry Pimm’s Cup is an exciting new take on this summertime cocktail. It tastes like fall in a cup… so refreshing and delicious with a hint of warm spices!
Honestly, the spiced apple cider is what makes this cocktail so unique and tasty! I make mine from scratch and it could not be more simple to whip up! Into a slow cooker, I toss a bunch of apples (quartered), one orange (quartered), ground ginger, cloves, cinnamon sticks, ground allspice and apple pie spice with enough water to cover and let it cook all day! Strain and you are left with the most delicious and flavourful spiced apple cider!!
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Pimm’s Liqueur
1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
4 oz Spiced Apple Cider (homemade or store bought)
Fever Tree Ginger Beer
3-4 slices of apple
8-10 frozen cranberries
Fresh mint to garnish
**see my tips at the top of this post on how to make delicious spiced apple cider in a slow cooker at home!
Method:
In a cocktail shaker add a handful of ice cubes, the Pimm’s Liqueur, freshly squeezed lemon juice and the spiced apple cider. Shake to combine the ingredients and pour into a cocktail glass that is filled with ice, the apple slices and the frozen cranberries.
Top with the Fever Tree Ginger Beer to fill the glass and garnish with fresh mint.
Sip sip and enjoy!!
