Most of us all love a good Espresso Martini… but have you ever tried an Eggnog Espresso Martini?!
I know, sounds delicious right!?
During the holiday season I love making homemade Eggnog Lattes. They are a great classic holiday drink that is super easy to make at home (you can find my Eggnog Latte recipe here). So I got to thinking, if eggnog and espresso pair so perfectly together in a latte, then it has to be EXTRA DELICIOUS as an espresso martini!
This Eggnog Espresso Martini is perfectly bold and undeniably festive!
Combining all the classic ingredients like freshly brewed espresso, vodka and kahlua coffee liqueur with silky smooth eggnog (or an eggnog alternative if you are dairy and egg free like me). These ingredients come together seamlessly to create a dangerously addictive cocktail that will leave you wanting another!
Eggnog Espresso Martini
Ingredients:
1 oz vodka
3/4 oz kahlúa coffee liqueur
1 oz strong espresso
2 oz eggnog
Ground nutmeg and coffee beans for garnish
Method
Add the vodka, kahlúa, espresso and eggnog into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until the cocktail shaker becomes cold and frosty.
Strain and pour into a martini or coupe glass. Garnish with some ground nutmeg and 3 coffee beans and enjoy!
Recipe Notes:
For a dairy free option, you can use an eggnog alternative. I use Califia Farms Holiday Nog, which is free of both dairy and eggs and works lovely with this recipe!
Feel free to opt for decaf espresso which also works great in this recipe! I always recommend a stronger roast for the espresso as it brings that deep rich flavour that can stand up to the eggnog in this recipe.
Happy sipping, friends!
