Quick and easy to make and packed with immune boosting ingredients! With the new year in full swing, many of us are looking for healthier breakfast options and this green smoothie definitely doesn’t disappoint. Not to mention, it can easily be prepped ahead of time into individual ziplock bags and frozen until ready to blend.
Deliciously sweet, while nourishing your body with everything it needs to maintain good health!
What makes this smoothie healthy?
The recipe for my Immune Boosting Green Smoothie includes specific ingredients that help maintain good health and wellness within the body. The benefits of incorporating these ingredients are especially beneficial when digested in the morning… the perfect time for a smoothie if you ask me!

Spinach
Spinach is packed full of vitamins and nutrients such as vitamin A, C and E, Magnesium and Iron which all help support a healthy immune system.
This low-calorie, leafy green is great for healthy skin, hair and bones! Not to mention it helps the body fight bacteria and toxins so you can stay strong and healthy.
Mango
Mangos are one of my favourite fruits because they are perfectly juicy and sweet. They are packed with nutrients that can support immunity.
Mangos can help soothe digestion as well as support both heart and eye health.
Ginger
Ginger is a powerful superfood with a TON of health benefits. It is known for its anti-inflammatory properties that aid in supporting good gut health.
Ginger can help soothe a sore stomach, improve digestion, reduce bloating and help relive nausea among other things!
Lemon
Lemon is a fabulous source of Vitamin C, which is key for helping strengthen the immune system. They also support healthy digestion, heart health and can aid in weight loss.
Hemp Hearts
I love incorporating hemp hearts into my diet because they are a great source of protein, fibre and omega 3 and 6. They also have great anti-inflammatory properties and are said to improve the health of the heart.
Water
Personally, I like to use water as the liquid ingredient when I make smoothies because it helps keep me hydrated and allows the delicious ingredients within the smoothie shine!
Alternatively, you can use almond milk or your favourite nut milk instead to get a creamier consistency!
Immune Boosting Green Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup spinach, packed
1.5 cups frozen mango
1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger, pealed
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 tbsp hemp hearts
1.5-2 cups water
Method
In a blender, add the spinach, frozen mango, fresh ginger, fresh lemon juice, hemp hearts and water.
Blend until completely smooth.
