Check out my Monday Mood Board to find out what’s inspiring me right now!
I thought I would do something a little different today and share a mood board that I put together with things that are currently inspiring me in my life.
The world has been going through a lot of ups and downs lately. I figured why not share a little inspiration to help focus on the positives!
Mood boards are great because you can let your creativity flow! They are a lovely source to refer back to if you need some inspiration to help motivate you.
First Off → The Visual Inspiration for my Mood Board
Right now I am really drawn towards neutral colour palettes with pops of soft colours that evoke a clean aesthetic. Lately, I have been spending a lot of time outdoors at the beach, so I am totally feeling the breezy coastal vibe.

Getting a Good Night’s Sleep
If you know me, then you know that I am basically “retired” during the summer and running free on a beach somewhere. I love to take a break from everyday stresses and focus on connecting with family and those close to me.
I had a fantastic summer with all of my favourite people, but I am also happy to be home now! I love crawling into my bed for the first time after a long vacation and melting deep into the sheets.
I am focussing on my health and that means getting lots of sleep and making sure to give myself some down time to relax and decompress.
Pretty Florals
Flowers have always been a source of inspiration for me. They come in all shapes, sizes, colours and textures. Something as simple as a flower can tell the most beautiful story when placed into an arrangement.
Back when I used to live in Vancouver, I was lucky to have multiple local flower markets within walking distance of my house. Every weekend I would pick up new floral arrangements and it never failed to put me in a good mood!
“Me Time” to Start the Day
I love starting my day off on a positive note… and for me, that means a very large, delicious cup of coffee!
To be quite honest, I am not really a morning person. I am the type who loves a good sleep and is ready for bed by 10pm most nights. I am always up decently early, although it does take me a while to come around in the morning before I’m ready to let my personality run free.
Having 30 minutes to an hour of “me time” in the morning with a cup of coffee always seems to do the trick!
Create Balance by Spending more time Outside
My happy place is being outside in the fresh air!
I want to create balance in my life and free myself from the firm grip that social media can have over us.
Don’t get me wrong, I do love social media and think it is an amazing tool to have. Although I think it is important to separate myself from it at times and enjoy the simple, beautiful things in life. Getting outside does just that for me!
It’s all about balance to create the ideal situation 🙂
Fuel Creativity in the Kitchen
I am so excited to be home and back to letting my creativity run wild in the kitchen!
When it comes to recipe development for the blog, almost always an idea will pop into my head when I am feeling calm and relaxed and I just kind of run with it.
I’ve been back at it since I’ve been home and it feels so good!
